At my recent talk to the good folks at Cirencester Camera Club I was asked a few specific questions about my portable lighting set up, so I’ve put a few links below with the main gear I use.  If this proves useful I’ll add a page to the site with other recommendations.

Godox Witstro AD360

By far my favourite light.  Only a little bigger than a speedlight, but with the power of a small studio head.  The battery is amazing, I’ve never got close to running out of power, even in a full day of shooting.

Godox Witstro AD-S7 Softbox

The perfect accessory for the Witstro, small softbox and beauty dish in one.  A brilliant bit of kit.

Godox Witstro AD-S3 Beauty Dish

I use this all the time for portraits, it’s excellent.

ADS14 Power Extension Cord

Very useful as the supplied curly cord isn’t very long

Bowens S-Mount Bracket

Allows you to use the most common Bowens-fit modifiers with the Witstro.  Highly recommended.

Godox Flash Tube Protector

They really should put one of these in the box!

Godox Ving 860 (Canon)

The latest version of the speedlight I use.  Huge advantage of these is the L-ION battery pack which lasts for hours.

Godox Ving 860 (Nikon)

The latest version of the speedlight I use.  Huge advantage of these is the L-ION battery pack which lasts for hours.
